People of the Holy Earth (2015/2016) revolves around the story Argentina’s indigenous people. Still facing a post-colonial mentality in their country, they keep on fighting a non-violent battle for their fundamental human rights, as they suffer from discrimination, corruption, violence by the gendarmerie, lack of education, land taken away from them and their water and air being polluted. Hoping to restart the discussion with the new Argentinian president, Mauricio Macri, they had set up a protest camp for nine months in 2015. With Macri at power, it meant for Argentina the ending of the the Kirchner legacy. A new era creating hope for a change.
